OUR ONLINE ASSEMBLY

In week 9 of Term 2 Room 7 hosted the schools online assembly. We read the certificate winners, introduced the different parts and share some of our amazing writing. Have a look at the link. We hope you enjoy.

 

CRICKET TRAINING

 KELLY SPORTS

Today we had some coaches from Kelly sports come in and teach us about cricket. We learnt about catch, using a nest, overarm throws and underarm throws. We played some great games to help us practice our new skills. Check out some photos from our training.

 GREAT TURNOUT THIS MORNING

Today we had a great turnout for our morning session. Not everyone is on screen as some people are siblings so were sharing a device. Thanks 2 the support staff that joined our session to learn and hang out with us. It was great to see you.

On Wednesdays we split into 2 groups to do a session of maths and a session of literacy with our 2 teachers, Mrs M and Mr O'Brien. 

We also go introduced to a new on line tool called Education Perfect. We are going to be using this for the rest of the year to see what we think of it.

BACK INTO ONLINE LEARNING 

In Room 4 we have started back with our online learning and we have been celebrating Niuean language week by finding out things about Niue.

Here is a screen shot from on of the students from the class presenting his findings to us all. He did a great job and found some interesting facts.

ROOM 4 GOOGLE MEETS

 

Even though we are in Level 4 lockdown and having to stay home we still get together everyday. It is great to see everyone, hear about how they are keeping occupied and continue with our learning. We are still doing reading writing and maths activities as well as other exciting things. We are lucky to live in a time where we have devices and can stay connected.

My 24 Hour Digital Footprint

 24 HOUR DIGITAL FOOTPRINT

Today in Room 4 we looked at our digital footprints over the last 24 hours. We looked at all the sites we had visited in this time and then showed them visually on the beach. We then added footprints between each site to show where our digital footprints had taken us. 

This was a great way to quickly see all the places we had been on the internet.

My Sailing Animation

Mr Goodwin has been teaching us about animation. We had to draw a boat slides and then make small movements and copy slide to make our boat move across the screen.
